Use case · Weekends & road trips

Weekends with mates, without the shared Google Sheet.

Gas, tolls, hostels, ski passes, drinks: each of you pays for something, each of you logs it as you go. Balances in real time, even on the back roads with no signal. On the way home, three transfers and it's done.

The familiar mess

We know it — we've been there too.

    01

One pays the gas, another the tolls, a third the hostel, a fourth the Friday-night grocery run. Back home, nobody remembers who paid what.

    02

The endless debate about which app to use, or worse, the spreadsheet you'll never keep up to date.

    03

The friend who'll "send a transfer tomorrow" and gets a reminder three weeks later.

How it works

One weekend, one count, 48 hours of effortless tracking. Here's the mechanics.

    01Step 1

Share a link in the group chat

Create the count ("Chamonix Weekend"), drop the link in WhatsApp. Thirty seconds later everyone's in — even the ones who don't have the app join as guests.

    02Step 2

    Everyone logs as you drive

First gas station, toll, grocery run at the motorway Carrefour, hostel, dinner. Each person adds what they paid, 10 seconds per expense. Works in tunnels with no signal.

    03Step 3

    See balances during the weekend

At any point, who paid what and who owes who. If you want to balance out early, you can cover a round at the bar to even things up.

    04Step 4

Settle in three transfers on the way home

The debt-simplification algorithm gives you the minimum number of transfers (often 2 or 3 for a group of 4–6). You see exactly how to pay each creditor (IBAN, Wero, Lydia, ...).

The features that matter

What counts in this case.

    Works offline

Tunnel, mountain pass, remote valley: expenses are stored locally and sync as soon as the signal comes back.

    Debt simplification

Instead of everyone paying everyone, the algorithm finds the minimum number of transfers. Ten possible transfers become three.

    Invitation link, no account required

The friend who doesn't have the app joins the count from their browser. Zero friction, zero required sign-up.

    Contextual phrases

The app drops small phrases depending on who pays most, who pays least — humour instead of tension.

    Scheduled closure

Lock the count on Sunday night. Nobody adds expenses after that, accounts are clean.

The "simplify debts" button is life-changing. Three transfers instead of eleven for our ski weekend with seven friends. Clean, no debate.
