Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern your use of the CountClub app and its related services. By using CountClub, you accept these terms in full.

2. Description of the service

CountClub is an expense-sharing app that lets users create shared accounts ("counts"), log expenses in them, and automatically calculate balances between participants.

3. Registration

You can use CountClub as a guest (limited access) or with a registered account. Registration requires a valid email address. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to:

• Use the service in line with its purpose (sharing expenses)
• Provide accurate information
• Respect other users
• Not attempt to compromise the security of the service

5. Data and content

You remain the owner of the data you enter into CountClub. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data in order to provide the service.

6. Liability

CountClub is a tracking tool. The app doesn't handle actual payments between participants. We're not responsible for financial disputes between users. Calculations are provided for informational purposes only.

7. Coach Léon (AI assistant)

Coach Léon is an AI assistant currently in beta. His answers may be inaccurate or incomplete and should never be your sole basis for financial decisions: always check amounts and balances yourself. Léon can suggest actions (like adding an expense or sending a reminder), but they're only carried out after your confirmation. He never acts on his own.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep the service available 24/7, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance work may cause temporary outages.

9. Free of charge

CountClub is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future. Existing features will remain free to use.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We reserve the right to suspend or delete an account in case of a breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
